Into The Frying Pan, Part 3

Akasha steps around the corner of a pile of books, tugging Blackbird McAllister behind her like an unwilling child. The moment she is out of sight of those towering beasts she drops onto the floor leaning heavily against a wall of books.

"Any great ideas on this one?" She whispers quizically. "Why don't you have a seat for a minute, let's figure this out before we go charging in there like a couple lumbering ent wives." Akasha wryly armed from her uncerimoniously crotch level position.

"There is no way we stand a chance. We are so poorly equipped! I wish we had taken some time to prepare before charging in here. And now half the party is gone or cut off from us." Blackbird curses under his breath.

He begins to look to both sides, above and behind trying to locate any exit that might afford them safe passage back to town.

"But I do suppose those gold embossed books are important or they'd have already been thrown into the fire with the others. Shall we wait them out? Or try to use our wits to grab the toms and take off? I am at a loss..."

He begins to look over his shoulders again trying to spy a readily accessible exit.

(Scene Description)
The cavernous chamber is dark except for a small bonfire. The hallways of this chamber are formed by books and tomes. The floor is solid stone.

Several large wooden tables dominate the room, and five thick tomes are stacked upon one of the tables. Flames from a bonfire dance in the air and cast odd shadows on the walls. Books, scrolls, and tomes on all sides.

Four figures rummage through the towering stacks of historical works.

North: Sink into the darkness of the cavernous chamber.
No other visible exists are immediately apparent.
