The Rules of The Realms

These rules are quite simple, and yet combined they create a complex and exciting world full of adventure fueled by your own imagination!

1 - Have Fun
Keep it simple - Keep it fun!
Enable players to encounter more fights, experience more puzzles, and engage more NPCs
Make the game easy to play, very accessible, and enjoyable for everyone

2 - Everything Is Permissible
"Everything is Permissible, Not Everything is Beneficial" - The Corinthian Conundrum (1 Corinthians 10:23)
Players may pull from ALL rule sets that exist for any play system, use Mythic RPG Scaling Boxes to assist
Game Master has the final word on a player action, and the results in the scene

3 - Balance In All Things
"With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" - The Ben Parker Principle
For every great power, there is an equally great weakness
When developing and playing your character, keep balance in mind, along with playability
Allow the other characters and Game Master to play along with you

4 - Do, or Do Not
"Do, or do not. There is no try." - Jedi Master Yoda's Rule
Consult charts and dice rolls to check your ability when casting a spell, performing a skill, or hitting during combat
Otherwise - for the most part - when you state that your character performs an action, the character succeeds at the action
Sub-Rule - For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction
When the Mythic RPG System responds - use logic to interpret a response to the best of your ability

5 - Everything Is For Sale
Gold is the primary coin of the Realms
Every item for sale will be posted in GP (gold points)
Other precious metals, gems, and valuables are traded for their gold value
Players set the market rate, and undercut values through black market trading

6 - Feed Your Imagination
"Imagination rules the world." ~ Napoleon Bonaparte
Imagination also rules supreme in the Realms. Always take a leap, create something new, and blurt out ideas!
Allow the mind's eye to paint the picture of the scene and the action as it unfolds
Don't become confined by another person's definition of your Character, or the World around you
As we like to say here "Imagine the possibilities..."

7 - The Game Never Ends
The game never ends, it merely changes form
Come and go as you please, but please exit the scene properly - let us know when you cannot post a response
It is possible for the GM to stand in and NPC your character for a few turns - but come back quickly
As the story progresses, old threads may be closed, or abandoned - but, the adventure never dies

Great Resources!
